Engage App Released
With the Enterprise Mobility’s bold commitment to advancing diversity efforts in non-profit organizations by pledging $1 million annually for five years to Parents as Teachers, the organization used a portion of the funds to strategically invest in the creation of the innovative PAT Engage App, which has been made available network wide to its cadre of affiliates.
2024 saw affiliate wide adoption of PAT Engage, which is a powerful two-way communication and engagement tool. This tool reinforces the critical connection between parents and parent educators and allows for parent educators and the families they serve to text chat, call, and video conference, and access vital curricula and resources right from their smartphones or tablets.
Nearly 1000 affiliates now have access to the app, and monthly adoption webinars are being held. Over 1800 parent educators and 2000 parents are actively using this platform to support their work.
Key features of the PAT Engage App include:
• A dedicated space that facilitates impactful conversations between parent educators and parents or caregivers.
• Parent-facing handouts from the Foundational 1 Curriculum, easily shared with families.
• A user-friendly app interface for parents, alongside a comprehensive app and desktop interface for parent educators.
• A robust video conferencing platform for seamless virtual meetings.
• Efficient visit scheduling with parents.
• Digital reminders for group gatherings, community events, and important dates.
During the 2024 Parents as Teachers International Conference, participants actively engaged with the app through a sandbox experience, enabling them to explore its functionalities and understand how it can significantly enhance parent-educator communication.
Parents as Teachers will continue the adoption activities in 2025 with a goal of having more families gaining access to this valuable resource.
