Annual Day at the Ballpark Draws Hundreds
Nearly 500 individuals, including staffers from the Parents as Teachers National Center and families enrolled in Show Me Strong Families, and local Parents as Teachers supporters and advocates shared the day with fans, players, and Fredbird at Busch Stadium in downtown St. Louis for the annual Parents as Teachers Day at the Ballpark. The Day at the Ballpark was created to connect staff with the families they serve. It also encouraged attendance through a donation initiative that provided free tickets to families in the St. Louis community. This year, founding Board Director Carolyn Losos threw the first pitch across home plate to honor the 40th anniversary of Parents as Teachers.
