Parents as Teachers Podcast

At the intersection of learning and growth, innovation, and connecting with others right in the home – all Parents as Teachers hallmarks – you’ll now find the inaugural first season of the Parents as Teachers Podcast!

Launched on January 27, 2025, with the premiere episode “Healthy, Safe, and Learning,” featuring President and CEO Constance Gully, the podcast spotlights professionals from across the home visiting field. Through conversations with host Erinn Miller, who worked on the Parents as Teachers National Center Marketing and Communications team, the guests offer perspectives on a wide variety of topics curated toward two distinctive audiences: people curious about home visiting and people currently participating – both personally and professionally.

“It’s powerful to give people a platform to share their voice,” Miller said, “and to give those interested in early childhood and home visiting the chance to hear directly from peers and experts.”

Those peers and experts have included people focused on research, program development, contextualization, and more. Many parent educators weave their voices throughout the 12 full episodes and four bonus episodes produced in 2025.

“I try and keep my ear to the ground to highlight current events or hot topics in early childhood,” Miller said, “but I also like to uplift powerful stories and interesting people who really care about the work.” And the numbers indicate that she’s doing it right: listeners downloaded episodes of the podcast over 9,000 times in 2025.

Things are only growing from here. The National Center envisions the next stage of the podcast to focus on elevating the voices of families involved in home visiting across the network.
