Thanks to the support of Enterprise Mobility’s ROAD Forward initiative and the Hunter Family Foundation, the Challenge Grant program continued in 2025, awarding $530,000 to 18 local Parents as Teachers affiliates nationwide. The nearly 100 applications highlighted both the demand for investment and the creativity of professionals across the network.

Winning projects addressed five priority areas: combatting maternal and infant mortality, family leadership, workforce development, program quality improvement, and community responsiveness. Approaches ranged from launching fatherhood initiatives and expanding translation services to implementing comprehensive outreach strategies and purchasing a cargo van to support recruitment and group connections.

These investments help affiliates expand access, strengthen program quality, and better meet families where they are — advancing the mission of Parents as Teachers to build strong communities and support positive outcomes for children and families.
