In 2024, Show Me Strong Families (SMSF) celebrated its 10th anniversary in the St. Louis Metropolitan area.
With 88% of the families served dealing with stessers like housing insecurity, mental health struggles, and intimate partner violence, many include parents and caregivers living in shelters. The services from Parents as Teachers helps reduce their stress so they can focus on being their best selves with their children.
SMSF addresses immediate needs for children’s future development. SMSF provides essential resources to help support young families. In the past year, SMSF expanded its services to support nearly 300 families annually, introducing certified doulas and lactation educators that have benefitted 32 expectant families.
