About Our Host

Erinn Miller, MPH, is the Marketing, Communications, and Special Events Coordinator at Parents as Teachers National Center and the host of the Parents as Teachers Podcast. With a foundation in public health and behavioral science, Erinn combines her expertise in communications to amplify the power of home visiting. She is excited to build a platform to explore critical topics in early childhood education, share valuable insights and innovations in the field, and celebrate the dedicated professionals who positively impact the lives of children and families. When she’s not hosting the podcast or planning the Parents as Teachers International Conference, Erinn loves to go hiking, curl up with a good book, and explore her home city of St. Louis, Missouri.

About Our Guest Hosts

Dipesh Navsaria, M.D., is a pediatrician working in the public interest. He blends the roles of physician, occasional children’s librarian, educator, public health professional and child health advocate. With graduate degrees in public health, children’s librarianship, physician assistant studies, and medicine, he brings a unique combination of interests and experience together.

He has practiced primary-care pediatrics in a variety of settings with a special emphasis on working with underserved populations. He is involved in advocacy training for residents, medical students, and practicing physicians. His educational interests also include physician assistant education and public/ population health training for clinicians.

Additionally, Dr. Navsaria is strongly engaged with early literacy programs in health care settings, particularly around ideas of early brain and child development, which include neurobiological effects of adversity and poverty upon the developing brain.

A dynamic speaker who easily translates basic science and clinical medicine for a wide variety of audiences in order to shape programs and policy, Dr. Navsaria lectures locally, regionally and nationally on early literacy, early brain and child development, child health advocacy and technology.

Rachel Giannini is a childhood specialist, an early childhood advocate, and a video blog host. She currently splits her time as a public speaker, early childhood commentator, and curriculum designer for Child First Academy. She is the star of Spy School on Hellosaurus and cohost of the hit podcast Teachers, Toddlers, and Tissues.

Rachel has over 15 years of hands-on early childhood classroom experience. She has a B.A. in Early Childhood and American Sign Language from Columbia College Chicago and an MFA in Museum Education from the University of Illinois Chicago. In addition to her classroom experience, Rachel works with multiple national school districts to implement progressive curricula.

Rachel’s writing, expertise, and videos have appeared in Vox, The New York Times, Manhattan Toy Company, Sago Mini, Too Small To Fail, HuffPost, Child Care Exchange, and Chicago Parent. In addition, Rachel is a volunteer hospital magician for Open Heart Magic and a new mom to baby Lydia.

About Our Producer

Jill Ruby has developed and produced radio, podcasts, and television series and specials for multiple national organizations and networks including the American Academy of Pediatrics, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Reach Out and Read, George Washington University, PBS, A&E, Nickelodeon, Discovery Channel, History Channel, Court TV, OLN, HGTV, and Discovery Health Channel. She holds a BA Hons. from the University of Toronto and a MA in Broadcast Journalism from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. Jill is a member of New York Women in Film & Television, and the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences. She is a judge for The Webby Awards, The Signal Awards, and has been a judge for the Daytime Emmys. She recently won several awards for podcasting, including four Webby-Anthem Awards, and five Signal Awards. Additionally, her work was selected as a 2024 Webby Honoree for Best Live Podcast and shortlisted for a 2024 International Women’s Podcast Award.
