Jovanna Archuleta is the Early Childhood Community Outreach Director for the Los Alamos National Laboratory Foundation, and on the Board of Directors at Parents as Teachers. Previously, Jovanna served as the nation’s first Assistant Secretary for Native American Early Childhood Education and Care with the newly established cabinet level state Early Childhood Education and Care Department of New Mexico. Jovanna comes from the Pueblo of Nambe where she lives with her two children and husband. She has earned a Master’s in Business Administration from New Mexico Highlands University and a Child Development Certificate through the Pueblo Outreach Cohort from Central New Mexico Community College.

Heidi Kranz is a member of Acoma Pueblo and CEO/President of Parenting Solutions, Inc. She received her Bachelor of Science in child development from the University of New Mexico and a Master’s in early childhood education from Erikson Institute. A former Tribal Head Start Director, Heidi is a nationally recognized expert in reflective consultation, child development, and community engagement. She served as a faculty member of the Zero to Three Tribal Initiative, President of the NM Association of Infant Mental Health, and Education Specialist with the Division of Developmental Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. She is an adjunct faculty member at Central NM Community College.

Michael Huesca is chairperson of the Board of Directors for Paternal Opportunities Programs & Services, and on the Board of Directors at Parents as Teachers. He first joined POPS after being recruited to be executive director in 2015. He served a two-year term as the Tribal Administrator for the federally recognized Iipay Nation of Santa Ysabel and for nearly 10 years he has been a well-respected national parent leader with the Children’s Trust Fund Alliance. Huesca is nationally recognized as a subject matter expert in the Child Welfare System, Father and Family Engagement, Domestic Violence, and the Indian Child Welfare Act ICWA.

Bec Slater is a director, national trainer and implementation specialist with Parents as FIRST Teachers in the UK. Bec was first introduced to the program in 2003 as a parent when both her boys received monthly home visits. Loving the ethos of this programme so much, Bec went on to train as a parent educator in 2007, then as a supervisor, then as a trainer in 2016.

Chisom Adirika is a medical doctor from Nigeria, a master’s student in Public Health at St. Louis University, and an intern at Parents as Teachers National in St. Louis, Missouri.
