With over 34 years of experience in the horticulture field, Jennifer Smith-Simms has been an integral part of the Missouri Botanical Garden for the past 23 years. In her role as Public Programs Manager, she oversees Adult and Youth & Family Education, Scout Programs, and Therapeutic Horticulture Programs. Therapeutic Horticulture serves a wide range of people. These include children and adults in hospitals, individuals impacted by cancer, blind or low vision, and children in crises. Jennifer has established enduring partnerships with organizations such as Ronald McDonald House, Easterseals Midwest, Children’s Hospital, Mercy Kids, Cardinal Glennon, Our Little Haven, and St. Louis Crisis Nursery. Her passion lies in creating inclusive and accessible experiences for all visitors, ensuring that the benefits of the natural world are available to everyone.
