Ballmer Group’s support will allow the organization to expand vital home-visiting services in communities nationwide.
Parents as Teachers National Center (PATNC) will have improved capacity to support more families with young children across the country thanks to a renewed commitment from Ballmer Group. PATNC will receive $925,000 annually for the next four years which will allow them to enhance home visiting services, a crucial lifeline for families with young children. This gift extends Ballmer Group’s support of PATNC to ten years.“The Ballmer Group’s continued support shows they truly believe in how home visiting and family support can change lives and affirms the work of Parents as Teachers,” said Constance Gully, President and CEO of Parents as Teachers. “With this funding, we can improve our capacity to support the 1000 plus family-serving organizations we partner with across the country to make sure families get the support they need.”
With this funding, PATNC will expand its focus on delivering vital technical support and forging community-based partnerships, all aimed at uplifting families and tackling systemic inequities across the nation. Parents as Teachers will enhance home visitor training, implement additional regional technical assistance hubs, and drive the adoption of resources tailored for families facing unique stress factors, such as those affected by substance use and those involved with child welfare services. The organization will also continue to expand resources to better engage fathers and support families during the prenatal and postpartum periods.
The Ballmer Group funding will strengthen Parents as Teachers’ community-driven approach, where parents and home visitors help shape programs based on their lived experiences. The investment will also expand training hubs and create more career opportunities for home visitors, enhancing service quality across all 50 states and more than 60 tribal communities.
“Ballmer Group is excited about our partnership with Parents as Teachers. Their home visiting programs create lasting impact for families,” said Loren Harris, Executive Director, National Impact at Ballmer Group. “Parents as Teachers has long been at the forefront of ensuring that parents receive critical support from well-trained professionals. We’re proud to support their efforts to meet the diverse needs of families, address barriers head-on, and deliver resources that foster healthy child development and parental empowerment.”
