Parents as Teachers Receives $15 Million Enterprise Mobility ROAD Forward Grant

ST. LOUIS, MO – Parents as Teachers, the United States largest evidence-based early childhood home visitation program, proudly announces that it has been awarded a substantial increase in funding from Enterprise Mobility’s ROAD Forward program, which will now provide a remarkable $15 million over the next six years.

This represents a significant leap from the previous grant funding, which stood at $1 million annually for five years and is now escalating to $2.5 million annually through 2030. Enhanced funding will actively support a variety of initiatives designed to strengthen family support systems and bolster Parents as Teachers organizational capacity.

The renewal and expansion of Parents as Teachers is a game-changer for families, providing crucial resources and support during the early childhood years. Increased funding will enhance family support systems, ensuring that more families have access to vital tools and trusted advisors that promote healthy development and learning. This initiative empowers families to navigate the challenges of parenting with confidence, fostering stronger communities and brighter futures for children.

Launched in 2020, the Enterprise Mobility ROAD Forward initiative supports organizations that are advancing social equity in three key areas: early childhood development, youth health and wellness and career and college preparation. By 2030, a total of nearly $165 million in grants will be gifted to key partners and local nonprofits across North America and Europe.

President and CEO of Parents as Teachers, Constance Gully declared, “This unprecedented investment from Enterprise Mobility’s ROAD Forward initiative is a game-changer for Parents as Teachers. Not only does it allow us to strengthen our core services, but it also empowers us to innovate, expand, and deepen our commitment to ensuring all families—regardless of background—have access to high-quality early childhood support. We are exceptionally grateful.”

“The grant will expand the development of cutting-edge resources for family-serving professionals and families facing unique challenges, including those involved with child welfare systems, impacted by substance use, and navigating the prenatal and postpartum periods.” Gully asserted.

For the first time in the organization’s history, $500,000 annually will be allocated in direct grants to help affiliates actively addressing local family stressors. Gully emphasized that the grant will also enable the organization to streamline its curriculum platform to enhance home visitor efficiency and establish a new User Interface Developer position to leverage resources fully.

Moreover, it will strengthen impact in tribal communities with new capacity to amplify the voice and needs of native families including creation of a Tribal Research Council, a tribal relationship position and consultant support. Also on the agenda are significant enhancements for the global accessibility of the Parents as Teachers International Conference, featuring expanded live streaming, language translation services, international scholarships, and individual hearing devices. A dedicated conference track will also be delivered in Spanish.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Parents as Teachers and work together to empower families and caregivers with the resources needed to promote optimal learning, health, and development for children,” said Carolyn Kindle, president of the Enterprise Mobility Foundation. “Through our joint investment, we hope to strengthen Parent as Teachers’ capacity to enhance family support systems, building stronger communities and brighter futures for the next generation.”
