Wendy Schwalbe currently serves as the Wisconsin Parents As Teachers State Leader at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. She brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to her role. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh, Schwalbe’s career spans over three decades, marked by a deep commitment to nurturing children and families.
In her journey through various roles within non-profit organizations, Schwalbe has been instrumental in facilitating parenting workshops, providing education, supervising visits, and spearheading in-home parenting initiatives. Her contributions to programs like Families First and Alternative Response reflect her passion for empowering families.
For the past six years, Schwalbe has focused her efforts on mastering Parents as Teachers, assuming responsibility for Training, Implementation Support, and the integration of new Parents as Teachers affiliates.
This pivotal role includes oversight of Annual Performance Reports, Targeted Fidelity, and Continuous Quality Improvement, as well as conducting Site Visits and leading monthly meetings with Affiliate Leaders. Schwalbe’s emphasis on empowering supervisors to uphold Essential Requirements and Quality Standards underscores her commitment to maintaining excellence.
Beyond her duties as State Leader, Schwalbe extends her impact through Home Visitation training for WCWPDS and as a national trainer for organizations like Parents ss Teachers, Zero to Three, and Life Skills Progression. Her engagement as a former board member of First Five Fox Valley and advisor to the organization highlights her dedication to community involvement and advocacy.
