Lori Connors-Tadros, Ph.D., is a Senior Research Fellow at the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER). Her current projects include serving as a partner on the Preschool Development Grant-Birth to 5 Technical Assistance Center, the principal investigator of a study of effective state offices of early learning, and providing responsive TA to state policy makers and advocates on policy and funding for children and families birth through third grade. Lori is a board member of the National Parents as Teachers home visiting program.
Dr. Connors-Tadros’ areas of expertise include state early childhood policy implementation, quality preschool and early intervention programs, strategic financing, governance and effective partnerships, and early childhood systems building. Dr. Connors-Tadros former positions include the Senior Project Director of the Center on Enhancing Early Learning Outcomes (CEELO), Vice President of Children and Family Services at The Finance Project, Senior Researcher, the University of New Mexico, Senior Researcher, Johns Hopkins University’s Center on Schools, Families, Communities, and Children’s Learning, a state early childhood specialist at the Massachusetts Department of Education, and a preschool special education teacher in New York and Connecticut. Dr. Connors-Tadros holds a Ph.D. in Developmental and Educational Psychology from Boston College and a Master of Science in Early Childhood Special Education from Southern Connecticut State University.
