Benjamin Hazelton has worked in both public and private child, family, and community services for 40 years and is currently the National Director of Government & Community Engagement at Parents as Teachers National Center. Prior to joining the National Center, Benjamin served the state of Oregon for 25 years as the Maternal Infant & Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Project Director, Assistant Administrator for Oregon Child Welfare, and Deputy Director for the Oregon Foster Care Review program. He has served on numerous national boards and committees including the Association of State & Tribal Home Visiting Initiatives, Home Visiting Applied Research Collaborative, the Institute for Family Support Professionals, and the MIECHV Technical Assistance Resource Center.
