Increasing Representation

In its ongoing efforts to ensure that Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility practices are woven throughout all facets of the organization, Parents as Teachers continues to recruit new trainers to mirror the demographics of the families in the communities we serve.

Since July of last year, Parents as Teachers has added 12 new trainers to its cadre including one of whom is a male, seven who speak Spanish, eight persons of color, and four from the western states of Colorado, Alaska, California, and Washington.

Parents as Teachers has more than 38 years of experience designing and delivering effective, relevant training. It offers many ways for professionals to engage in learning – on-ground, online, and virtual (self-paced combined with live sessions). All core training courses are facilitated by Parents as Teachers Certified Trainers. Parents as Teachers National Center is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) to offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
