Enterprise Foundation to give $120 million to racial justice causes, anti-hunger groups

The Enterprise Holdings Foundation is committing $120 million to promote racial equity and help fight hunger, with some of the support earmarked for local organizations such as Parents As Teachers.

Early childhood development, youth health and wellness, and career and college preparation were identified as focus areas. From there, four nonprofits were selected to receive $5 million each: Parents As Teachers, My Brother’s Keeper Alliance, Girls Inc. and UNCF, also known as the United Negro College Fund.

The gift is the largest one that Parents As Teachers has received from a corporation or foundation in its 36-year history, said president Constance Gully.
