Edward Jones Principal Kristen Steffens leads the firm’s asset allocation, investment risk, and portfolio optimization capabilities. Collectively, these teams exist to provide guidance on strategic and opportunistic asset allocation opportunities for client portfolios; oversight on key investment risk attributes and positioning of portfolios; and to apply new capabilities to build and manage customized client portfolios. Kristen also serves on the firm’s Investment Policy Committee, which is responsible for governing the firm’s planning and investment guidance. She also serves as Chair of the Advisory Investment Committee, which is responsible for the investment oversight of Edward Jones Advisory Solutions®, Bridge Builder Mutual Funds and Edward Jones Money Market Fund.
Kristen joined the firm in 2016 and became an Edward Jones principal in January 2019. Her background includes work as a consultant and investment strategist in Chicago, Ill., and research analyst and associate portfolio manager in New York City. She earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and business management from the University of Dayton in Ohio and a master’s degree in finance from London Business School in London, England. She is a CFA® charter holder, a CFP® professional, and a member of the CFA Society of St. Louis.
