Edward Jones Principal Kristen Steffens leads the Portfolio Solutions team within the Advice and Guidance Department at the financial services firm headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. In this capacity, she is responsible for the portfolio construction implementation of firm discretionary accounts, as well as guidance for client discretionary accounts, and is a member of the firm’s Advisory Investment Committee (AIC) and Investment Policy Committee (IPC).
Steffens joined Edwards Jones with 12 years of experience in the financial services industry in 2016 as a senior portfolio manager for the U.S. equity team, where she was jointly responsible for the U.S. equity sleeve of the Advisory Solutions Research Models, and the U.S. Equity Bridge Builder mutual funds. In October 2017, she was named a team leader and later named an Edward Jones principal. Her background includes work as an investment consultant, strategist, research analyst, and associate portfolio manager.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and business management from the University of Dayton in Ohio and a master’s in finance from London Business School in London, England. She is a CFA® charter holder, previously chaired the University and Education Outreach Committee of the CFA Society of St. Louis, and is a member of the Investment and Audit Committee of the St. Louis Area Foodbank.
