Demetria Joyce, Ed.D. is the Director of Early Childhood Strategy Implementation and Partnerships at the Bainum Family Foundation, where she leads a national portfolio of initiatives designed to improve the accessibility, quality, and affordability of early childhood services. In this role, she advances cross-sector partnerships, supports place-based and systems-level investments, and guides strategy to strengthen outcomes for young children and families.
Demetria informs research, learning, and evaluation efforts across the Foundation’s early childhood portfolio to assess impact and drive continuous improvement. Her work centers equity, systems change, and the conditions necessary for sustainable transformation in early learning ecosystems.
A former educator, school administrator, higher education administrator and state policy leader, Demetria has dedicated her career to improving outcomes for children, families, and communities. Her experience spans education, state government, policy, practice, research, higher education and philanthropy, bringing a systems-oriented perspective to advancing meaningful and lasting change.
She is committed to strengthening systems that support children, families, and communities and ensuring every child can thrive.
