Oregon governor Tina Kotek and Portland mayor Keith Wilson have officially declared “Parents as Teachers Day” on October 5, 2026.
The proclamations, which acknowledge the scope, model, and impact of the home visiting organization, were made in anticipation of the 2026 Parents as Teachers International Conference in Portland. Beginning on October 5, the conference convenes 2,000 early childhood champions from around the world for networking and professional development.
