The next evolution of curriculum from the Parents as Teachers National Center gives parent educators more time to focus on families.
ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Parents as Teachers National Center launched the Born to Learn® Curriculum and Parents as Teachers Content Platform, a digital experience designed to make it easier for parent educators to deliver individualized support to families and reduce administrative and planning burdens for the home visiting workforce.
Available now, the new site hosts a refreshed curriculum, bringing materials together in one place so educators can spend less time navigating resources and more time preparing responsive, family-centered services for families from prenatal through kindergarten. The launch aligns with the goals of the recently reauthorized Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Program, which emphasizes reducing administrative burden so home visitors can focus on delivering high-quality services.
Developed through ongoing collaboration with parent educators and program supervisors, the platform reflects the Parents as Teachers commitment to user-informed innovation—using feedback from the field to create technology that supports the professionals partnering with families every day.
The new Born to Learn® Curriculum brings together prenatal to three parenting content (Foundational) and three years through kindergarten content (Foundational 2) into one streamlined experience, co-locating translated resources for easier access. It includes parent educator and family resources focused on child development, parenting behaviors, parent-child interaction, development-centered parenting, and family well-being.
The reimagined curriculum experience preserves the research-based, evidence-informed content that educators rely on while providing a more connected and intuitive experience for planning visits. The new features are solutions created in response to pain points, and include an improved search and filtering, the ability to bookmark and organize resources, printable materials, multilingual accessibility, and screen reader compatibility. The updates make curriculum content easier to find and use while supporting more individualized planning.
The development of the platform was supported in part through Enterprise Mobility’s ROAD Forward initiative, which awarded Parents as Teachers a $15 million grant over six years to strengthen family support systems and build organizational capacity. Among the investments supported through the grant is the modernization of the organization’s curriculum platform to improve home visitor efficiency while expanding access to high-quality resources for families and professionals. The organization partnered with AGP to design and implement the platform.

The Parents as Teachers Content Platform and the Born to Learn® Curriculum are available to Parents as Teachers curriculum users now.
