The annual Parents as Teachers Day at the Ballpark was first held in 2019, during the organization’s 35th Anniversary and Pre-COVID – to build greater awareness about home visiting and Parents as Teachers while celebrating families with young children and the phenomenal Baseball Cardinals.

Tickets were offered at a special reduced price of $35 each (including a hot dog, beverage, and commemorative T-shirt) with only 500 available. Individuals had the opportunity to donate to support families served by SMSF to attend the Day at the Ballpark, through a matching donation initiative.

For every $35 received from donations, Parents as Teachers National Center provided an SMSF family with a single ticket to the game.
