Training Business and Enrollment Manager

Position Overview: The Training Business and Enrollment Manager leverages business acumen, organizational data, and field relationships to promote and coordinate high quality, accessible Parents as Teachers’ training events, ensure customer and stakeholder satisfaction, and strategically improve training business processes. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Business Strategy

  • Work with the Director of Training to identify and analyze national, regional, and community-level trends that impact training demand and reveal opportunities.

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate strategies to realize increased training accessibility and enrollment.

  • Track and report on training business data in order to assess the efficiency of processes, project training expenses and revenue, and inform improvements.

  • Work within departmental and cross-departmental teams to develop solutions and improve training business processes, including full utilization of organizational tools.

Business Processes

  • Create and maintain training classes in the customer management and learning management systems.

  • Assist the Director of Training in securing training contracts and hosting agreements and coordinate related activities.

  • Work with staff and stakeholders to promote and advertise trainings, including creating and sending eBlasts.

  • Assign, with support from the Manager of Training, appropriate trainers to upcoming core and professional development offerings.

  • Utilize the customer management and procurement systems to prepare training invoices, manage revenue shares, and review trainer expense reports for approval by Director of Training.

  • Oversee the organization’s enrollment and registration processes.

Customer/Stakeholder Support

  • Communicate routinely with implementation support staff and external stakeholders such as state leaders to understand and accommodate training needs.

  • Schedule training events in coordination with Parents as Teachers’ training teams and national center staff.

  • Work with the Director of Training to support state and country training teams in all training event processes, including coordinating trainer travel arrangements and maintaining ongoing communications with trainers in the field.

  • Respond to inquiries for training and support customers through successful online registration.

  • Provide verbal and written communication to learners, stakeholders, trainers, and hosts.

  • Utilize reports, analytics, and queries to monitor online registrations and provide customer service.

  • Work with accounting staff to resolve registration issues such as cancellations.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience managing online and on-ground professional development registration processes.

Other Requirements:

  • Multilingual preferred.

  • Working understanding of business systems and management.

  • Motivated to explore and learn new technological applications.

  • Exceptional, positive customer service skills and competence in supporting persons from various cultures.

  • Ability to self-start and complete work within required timelines.

  • Experience with continuous quality improvement processes.

Technology Skills:

  • Proficient in current version of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

  • Able to use database systems and software applications to input, track, interpret, assess and present training business data.

  • Adept at video conference applications such as Skype, Zoom, GoToMeeting or Microsoft Teams.
