The Heroes at Home Curriculum provides family support professionals with the tools and resources they need to partner with and support the unique parenting goals, challenges, and needs of military families. This curriculum provides a blend of practical strategies and activities to address different stages of military life—relocation, reunification, deployment—with a focus on social-emotional support for parents and children.

Engaged: Building Intentional Partnerships With Families is a new Parents as Teachers publication designed to support building a foundation for effective family engagement through the lens of 10 key values. Through unique design features such as reflection questions and anecdotes from the field, you will be encouraged to think more deeply about engagement through the lens of foundational values like trust, compassion, generosity, and more.

More than a dozen outcome studies have been conducted on the effects of the Parents as Teachers model. With each new evaluation, we continue to learn about the children and families served by Parents as Teachers and the long-term impacts on communities.

Parents as Teachers is fulfilling its mission in local communities throughout the United States and in six other countries. There are more than 1000 Parents as Teachers Affiliates utilizing our evidence-based model to affect real change for families. Parents as Teachers also supports and engages parents through subscribing organizations and other specialized programs.
