Parents as Teachers Instructor-Led Training Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be processed by the Parents as Teachers National Center. 

Please email accountsreceivable@parentsasteachers.org including your order/invoice number and the word CANCELLATION in the subject line. Phone calls to the Parents as Teachers staff or contacting the trainer will not constitute compliance with the cancellation policy. 

  • For Training cancellations more than 10 business days prior to the first day of training, a fee will not be charged. 

  • For Training cancellations less than 10 business days prior to the first day of training, a 10% cancellation fee will be charged. 

  • Failure to appear at the training without cancelling in advance will result in forfeiture of the training fee in full. 

A registration cannot be transferred to a different person or class. If you need to change a participant or the date/location of a registration, you will need to cancel the existing registration and then create a new registration order. A fee will not be charged if this is done prior to the start of the class.   

Parents as Teachers reserves the right to cancel or reschedule due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. If this happens, full registration fees will be refunded, but Parents as Teachers is not responsible for travel arrangements, travel fees or any expenses incurred as a result of such cancellation. If Parents as Teachers cancels a class, registrants will be notified at the email addresses provided at the time of registration. 

If you are unable to attend a training due to severe weather conditions, the National Center and training contact must be contacted before the end of the first day of the scheduled training in order to receive your refund or to transfer classes. Failure to do so will result in a full forfeiture of all training fees. 

Parents as Teachers Web-based Training Cancellation Policy: 

If you have registered for a web-based training class, but have not begun the class with the LAUNCH button, please email accountsreceivable@parentsasteachers.org including your order/invoice number and the word CANCELLATION in the subject line. We will verify that the class information has not been accessed before processing the cancellation. 

Once any portion of the class has been launched, regardless of completion, there can be no cancellation or refund.
