Autism Within Families

Families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) may need specific information and family supports in order to help their children realize their full potential and aid in the family’s functioning. This course will provide professionals who work with children and families in the early childhood years an introduction to ASD and strategies to support families as they observe and guide development.

This online learning opportunity features:

  • Basic information on Autism Spectrum Disorder including diagnosis and causes

  • Early warning signs and how to recognize them

  • Strategies to support families in managing and optimizing their daily interactions and routines

  • Information on screening, referral, and early intervention

  • Links to additional resources
