Associate Accountant (Accounts Receivable)
Position Overview: Full cycle Accounts Receivable position: generate invoices, record payments to accounts, handle cash receipts and maintain accounts receivable records by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Process daily cash deposits electronically and manually.
Apply cash receipts in the accounts receivable ledger by customer.
Create and mail invoices.
Process daily credit card transactions.
Research and process cancellations in multiple software.
Process incoming purchase orders.
Answer all accounts receivable inquiries and follow up.
Call and/or mail correspondence to customers as necessary for collections on past-due accounts.
Assist with related special projects, as required.
MIP fund accounting and Aptify experience a plus

Education and/or Experience: Minimum of associate's degree, bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; at least 1-3 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Bi-lingual is a plus.
Math Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of integrated accounting systems (Experience with Aptify and or Sage MIP Fund Accounting would be a plus); Internet software; Microsoft Excel and Word. This position also works with on-line payment software.
Other Skills and Abilities: Must be very organized, detail-minded and able to handle large volumes of work in a timely manner.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit.
Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
