Parents as Teachers Proud to Host First Book and KPMG

Parents as Teachers National Center was proud to host First Book and KPMG as they distributed 10,000 books to educators from across the St. Louis area. Nearly 100 teachers from multiple school districts came to the national center to choose from more than two dozen titles. They also learned more about Parents as Teachers and the programs and services offered throughout the region and across the country.

The book distribution was part of KPMG’s nationwide “Read to Succeed” initiative, in which volunteers will get more than 150,000 new books into the hands of children who need them most. The books were provided by First Book, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide disadvantaged children with new books.
